Speak Victory, Not Defeat

Speak Victory, Not Defeat:

"But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Corinthians 15:57)

Victory. This is where we stand. We walk a path each and every day paved by pierced hands. Those scars in His palms testify to His triumph. He's gained victory over deathtriumph over the grave, and power over sin. The dark defeat of death and Sheol could not keep Him contained. His glory and undeniable authority arose from the pitch-blackness, and now a banner of exultation waves exuberantly above our heads. His sacrifice and His overcoming are what give us hope and life. This is our freedom! This is our song! Christ our Lord gives us triumph all eternity long!

"In the Messiah, in Christ, God leads us from place to place in one perpetual victory parade." (2 Corinthians 2:14 MSG)

We parade the path of life! Not in fear and panic, but in perpetual peace and celebration! We needn't hobble through this life, when God has provided every means by which we should be dancing and rejoicing on the path of His Presence. How can we not overflow with joyful praise? Our exceedingly good Heavenly Father has blessed us with everything we need to live a life of constant victory.

God has promised to crush the adversary beneath our feet:

"And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen." (Romans 16:20)

We overcome this world and all the evil contained in it, because the Lord loved us so richly as to make us His very own dwelling places! He lives in us now! It's this power in us that protects and guards us from the dangers of this world:

"I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." (Galatians 2:20)

"Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." (Romans 8:37)

"You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." (1 John 4:4)

Isn't His Word spectacular? In His Word, we find all we need to speak victory and triumph over every day of our lives! No day is too difficult that it cannot be revived by the power of His proclamations. No struggle is too trying that it cannot be redeemed by His peaceful provision. Look at all Jesus went through, and yet He remained committed and strong for God's will - ultimately for our good!

This is the same Saviour who walks with us every step of the way!

"For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, ‘Fear notI will help you.’" (Isaiah 41:13)

Fear not. How remarkable! He is making a way for us; He is helping us at this very moment! What victory we have in Christ our Lord! Never allow the enemy to thieve away the joy and the benefits of living in this continual parade of triumphing! Speak glorious success and jubilee today, my friends. Don't be deceived by defeat, for the price is paid and the victory is already won in Jesus Name! Hallelujah!
