The Introverted Evangelist

Jesus - Δουλος - Humble Servant : " You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead,  he gave up his divine privileges ; he took the  humble position of a slave  and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form,  he humbled himself in obedience to God  and died a criminal’s death on a cross. " (Philippians 2:5-8) I love how the Holy Spirit kept the theme of Pastor Spurling's message at Gateway Church this weekend. I opened up my MacBook to see this...  Jesus Christ ...  Humble Servant . The Greek word written here is δουλος and it is translated " slave " in the verse above. How marvellous! Jesus took on the humble position of a slave so that we might become free. In fact, right now as I type, I'm wearing my Walk in Love shirt that reads:  I AM SET FREE . Thank You, Jesus! Thank You for Your obedience even to death on the Cross. Because of...

Look to Jesus : " Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever ." (Hebrews 13:8) In an ever-changing world, fix your eyes on the  unchanging Lord . In the middle of your panic, pursue the  Prince of Peace . When all hope seems fading fast, seek the One who fails not. When fear is crippling, cling to the  Love that casts out every doubt . Jesus, Jesus, Jesus... My heart may be failing, the battle still raging, but  my God is fighting for me . I fix my eyes on what I know is true,  His promises will not disintegrate . He is faithful, and therefore I will obey and trust.  He is loyal , so I will press on... Looking to Jesus. Trusting His  personal promises  and  unfailing faithfulness . Jesus, I run to You... Jesus I trust in You. I don't deserve these gracious gifts, but I trust that You're working all things for good. Your glory will prevail, and I will come forth victorious in You. I trust You're taking care of all the details. Amen...

No Other Name: "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12) No. Other. Name. Think about that. Only one Name can save. When in tribulation, call out to Jesus, and watch as He comes to your rescue. "For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” " (Romans 10:13) Authority, dominion, divine attributes, and unmatchable  miraculous power are all found in one Name, and that's Jesus Christ. He alone is the Way to eternal life. He alone is the never changing truth, for He cannot lie and will never go back on a word He has spoken. Pure in heart, Holy Saviour, and loving Father. Jesus, You are the Μεσσίας (Messiah)!  Christ our anointed redeemer, and spotless sacrifice that saved our lives. How precious and glorious You are Χριστός (Christ)! "If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you...However,...
