God Always Knows

My mind likes to wander. Oh yes, a wandering wondering mind has surely gotten me into heaps of worry. When wonders wander worries well up.

When worries well up everything that has to do with hope, strength, peace, and enduring seems to all fade away. Believe me, I know the feeling. The feeling you get when all hope seems lost.

What to do? What is for sure when everything seems so uncertain? What can I believe when it all seems too confusing?

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;" (Proverbs 3:5)

Lean not on your own understanding. Did you know that a plethora of things are still unknown to us about God? Surely! God is the Author, Finisher, and the one and only Divine Creator. There truly is much we do not know.

"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts." (Isaiah 55:9)

It is written that His thoughts and ways are higher than our own. Therefore, how much higher is that of His knowledge and wisdom? Surely we can trust Him, for He knows.

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11)

There it is! Those future concerns? God's got 'em. That hopeless feeling? God can handle that. He knows! But what's even better than that, He cares.

"casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." (I Peter 5:7) All the worries? God has them all taken care of.

As a child I learned to sing-song, "What time I am afraid, I trust in Thee" psalms 56 verse 3. It has gotten me through many a scary night and worried mindset. Thanks for the reminder with this post! :)
