Silence After the Symphony

The Lord's promises lead to faith. Faith leads to obedience. Obedience leads to miracles, and miracles bring joy. When God sends us a promise and ignites faith within us, we begin to step out and obey in reckless ways. An array of indescribable confirmations bursts before our very eyes! The peace that overflows our souls in this moment is awe-inspiring and satisfying. We never want to leave the realm of His glory, but nevertheless our lives must continue. This means continuing on with the confidence of His promise. Quite a difficult task this can be. We often lose our fiery determination as we sit and wait silently while the storms pass. Every arrow that attempts to strike me down is rendered powerless by Your name, God. In the silence of our everyday lives we must not lose our zealous spirits, but we must look to Him for our peace, guidance, and happiness.
Do not be discouraged, because the Lord your God has given you a promise. When the Lord gives a promise it will come to pass, and how wondrous it will be. Psalm 34:17-18 says, "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit." May the Lord send His peace; God bless.
