People Are Hurtful
People. People are hurtful and, well, human. Humans are known for being imperfect, so it only seems logical that humans would screw up and hurt others' feelings. Not that this makes our sins okay. Not by any means! But, Jesus did set us free from all impurities and condemnation.
Now, often times people do things without thinking first. Yes, it hurts, a whole lot. Whenever I'm grumbling about how lonely I am, Jesus steps in and offers up His shoulder. He wants us to always turn to Him when we're upset. He will be our best friend, even when all other human friends have abandoned.
Don't be disheartened! Be joyful in knowing that you have a friend that will truly never leave. Jesus loves us so much, that He died a gruesome death so that we could spend eternity with Him. How's that for loyalty!
Humans will lie and turn their backs on us, but Jesus wont! He speaks truth and He is for us. "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you." (Deuteronomy 31:6)
Instead of being angry about what others have done to hurt you, let's all be joyful over what the Lord has given to us. Jesus is our constant companion and He will never leave us. Be at peace with this revelation, today. He is omnipresent.
