The True Essence of Christmas/Forgiven, Freed, Family

The True Essence of Christmas/Forgiven, Freed, Family:

Though the days slip away as sand sifts through toes dipped in the tide of a restless shore, may our hearts never cease to capture the true essence of just how glorious Your Christmas really is. May the ever-awe-inspiring Gift of our Saviour be the sturdy foundation on which we build our lives and in which we rejoice in continual, unceasing celebration.

We thank You Lord that Your peace-ensuing Presence is with us through it all. We're not isolated by this pain of shattered hearts and brokenness resembling fallen, fragile glass ornaments. You're right here in the midst of our silent suffering. You're always holding out Your life-line of unwavering hope and joy.

Your love will never fail us. And when Christmas seems as though it's been glazed over by pain and rush and lack? We can find shelterrest, and perfect peace and provision in You. Thank You for being our Home, our Hope, and our eternal, incomparable Reward.

"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich." (2 Corinthians 8:9)

Your love Gift birthed on that first Christmas was fulfilled on the Cross. You gave the gift of Your own life - from a Baby's first breath to our Holy Atonement's bruised death. This is the sacrifice that burnt brightly before our just God's eyes.

"A bruised reed He will not break, And smoking flax He will not quench; He will bring forth justice for truth. He will not fail nor be discouraged, Till He has established justice in the earth; And the coastlands shall wait for His law... I, the Lord, have called You in righteousness, And will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles." (Isaiah 42:3-4, 6)

You are the Sacrifice that burnt for all the world's sins to be consumed in holy fire - Your passionate love offering. You gave the gift of Your life so that we could be forgiven, so that we might be free, and finally, so that we can be part of Your holy family forever.

Forgiven. Freed. Family. Forever.

Christmas is never missed, for You are the essence of Christmas, and thus, we can celebrate Your great glory each and every day of the year. Your Gift, O God, never grows old or wears out.

"When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy." (Matthew 2:10)

You are the Truth that we celebrate, and our celebrations are exuding with uncontainable joy because of Your great and precious promises. Thank You Jesus, You're our eternal Hope and Prize.
