God's Incomprehensible Splendour

Image
God's Incomprehensible Splendour : " Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. The voice of the LORD is over the waters; The God of glory thunders; The LORD is over many waters. The voice of the LORD is powerful; The voice of the LORD is full of majesty. " (Psalms 29:2-4) O gracious God, how marvellously merciful You are! Your splendour roars louder than the rumbling of thunders, and Your gentleness beats softer than the butterfly's wings. Your ways are incomprehensibly incredible, and Your kindness threads each moment into place at just the right time. I trust Your timing, and I trust Your favour. I adore You, my Lord. I will always rest in Your miraculous grace-gift. " The LORD sat enthroned at the Flood, And the LORD sits as King forever. The LORD will give strength to His people; The LORD will bless His people with peace ." (Psalms 29:10-11) -The Introverted Evangelist

Rise Up

Rise Up: "But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31) Wait on God, and you will surely witness His astonishing faithfulness. Wait on His timing, for He is never late and never early. Wait in peace, peace that is secured in His unsurpassable mercy. Wait for the Lord, for He is working for our good. "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose...What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:28, 31) He is for us, and that's enough. He is on our team! Doesn't that excite you? It excites me! In fact, when I read the words, and proclaim it, "God is for me! He's for me and not against me!" I begin to feel His wondrous power rest upon me. "Death and life are in the power of the tongue...

How Great Thou Art

Image
How Great Thou Art: "I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, for he has been good to me." (Psalms 13:5-6) Unfailing love. What makes this love so undeniably unique and genuine? Well, the Hebrew word used for "unfailing love" here is one of the most paramount words in the Old Testament. This word is primarily used to depict an act of beneficence, tenderheartedness, grace, or LOVE of course. One factor of this word that starkly stood out to me is the fact that the essence of the love that is doled out is most often set apart for those with whom the giver has already developed a favourable relationship (i.e. best friends, close relatives, or family members). However, in a notable amount of cases found in the Bible, the one who demonstrates the unfailing love often treats the one who is object to it as though a friendship or close relationship had already been thriving long before. In other words, it is more likely f...

Proclaim His Greatness

Image
Proclaim His Greatness: "I will proclaim the name of the Lord. Oh, praise the greatness of our God!" (Deuteronomy 32:3) The whole earth and all of His creations radiate His glory. Every sunrise and every sunset remind us of His wondrous beauty. He is breathtakingly marvellous, and He works in ways that mystify the mechanisms of our limited human comprehension. "But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things – and the things that are not – to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him." (1 Corinthians 1:27-29) God chose the meek and unnoticed underdogs. He chose them. He manifests His glorious ways in them. Why? So that there be be no misunderstanding that the mighty work done in and through us unpretentious ones, was accomplished by HIS power and HIS glory and not our own. "But we have this treasure...
