Victorious Love and Saving Grace

Image
Victorious Love and Saving Grace : " For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal ( everlasting) life . " (John 3:16 AMP) Love , not law, has won.  Grace , not guilt, is the gift of Salvation that saves us all.  Faith , not fear, is what flourishes life everlasting. The immense love of the Father is our  eternal victory . There is hope for all ages, triumph for every nation, and healing for each soul, because in Him we're made whole. Salvation's spelled out in  blood-stained agony  there on the Cross. It seemed like hope was lost, but it's from the darkest grave  He rose again in glorious light . " But God is so  rich in mercy , and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (...

Spirit of Freedom

Spirit of Freedom : " For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind ." (2 Timothy 1:7) The heart of the ways in which God calls us are founded by a Spirit full of  fearless faith and freedom . The enemy on the other hand only desires to see us fall further into  the lifeless freeze that is a life that's fear-seized . God wants to see our souls overflow with joy that is unafraid and confident in the truth that  His goodness is exceedingly abundantly above all we can imagine . The enemy wants to take away every last fragment of the great gifts God has freely given to us, His beloved children. " Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us " (Ephesians 3:20) " The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more  abundantly . “I am the good shepherd.  The go...

Hosanna

Image
Hosanna: "Hosanna! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ The King of Israel!" (John 12:13) The word Hosanna is not initially a Greek word. In fact, the definition of ὡσαννά (pronounced hōsanná) is basically just Hosanna. So what does this word really depict, and from whence did it come? The word Hosanna comes from Psalms 118. Hosanna is now most commonly used as a shout of praise. However, the history of this word reveals a much greater depth of meaning than simply and exultation. Here in a moment I'm going to tell you why I believe a transition from a cry of help to an utterance of extolment has occurred. "O Lord, save us; O Lord, grant us success. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. From the house of the Lord we bless you." (Psalms 118:25-26) The above phrase, "O Lord, save us" is precisely where the we get the word Hosanna. You see, the words "O" and "save" are combined to create a cry for help, and th...

Hallelujah! What a Saviour!

Image
Hallelujah! What a Saviour: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23) I'm completely in awe of the Lord's wonderful graciousness towards each and every one of His children. He has blessed us abundantly and eternally. There are no limitations to His unfailing love, for His love is unconditional. "Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]." (1 Corinthians 13:7) When we go through difficult times, God doesn't condemn us. When the stresses of this life press us hard on every side, we have a Comforter Who will never abandon us. When things seem to be flailing out of your own control, trust that He has everything under His control. He understands every one of our sorrows, sufferings, and disappointments, because He has endured them. He pe...
