Let Go of Fear : " For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more  in bondage to fear , but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the  bliss  of] which we cry, Abba (Father)!  Father ! " (Romans 8:15 AMP) Fear . My child, fear only wants to keep you bound up in chains.  Fear is a gruelling prison guard , his only desire to make you more and more miserable. Don't wear the  chains  that hold you  prisoner  as a  comfort-cloak . These are the very chains that I have already  broken  off for your  freedom . The Perfect One : " And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him " (Hebrews 5:9) Lord, I place everything at Your feet. Even if I'm no great musician or singer,  I will always live to worship You  in spirit and truth  (John  4:24 ) . In Heaven, I know I'll sound beautiful, even angelic! But for right now, I trust that  You take utmost delight in my songs to You , even more than an orchestral symphony.  You take delight in my imperfect song . How great You are, my God. Guide My Eyes to Thine Face : " The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you ." (Psalms 32:8) You know the path before me, and You are familiar with my feeble weaknesses within. Yet You love me...  You love me unconditionally . You're patient with me, for  You never lose Your temper  when I struggle so unbelievably. " Then the Lord passed in front of him and proclaimed: Yahweh — Yahweh is a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and rich in faithful love and truth " (Exodus 34:6) " If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself. The Road Leads Home, I Shall Not Fear : " Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You. " (Psalms 143:8) When the path ahead of me looks  daunting ,  icy - cold anxieties frozen over a ghastly tundra ? Pull me into Your warm and welcoming Presence. I can't face these fears with my own strength, for apart from You I am nothing but a fearful, panicked mess.  I need Your wings to cover me .  I need Your hands to guide me .  I need Your peace to quiet me . " My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, In secure dwellings, and in  quiet resting places " (Isaiah 32:18) You speak Your words of wonderful mercy, and my whole heart sighs a breath of relief. Because of the goodness pouring out from Your Heart, I am held securely in Your hands. No one shall remove me from this  sacred dwelling place . Remember That I am His Own : " Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of  God's unmerited favor to us sinners ), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]. " (Hebrews 4:16 AMP) When the day spins out of control, and  my head thumps with frustration and fear , draw me near, O Lord. I'm so willing to worry, yet so hesitant to trust. Death Has No Hold on Me : " For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies. Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? ” For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. The God of Exceeding Abundance/Be Our Vision: I want more of  You  God. I want Your  glorious essence  to fill me at every moment. When I'm sailing rough seas,  I only want to look towards you . I want Your goodness to take me over and  conquer  my  doubts . I want You and You only to be my  anchor  and my  vision . I want all that You are to mightily overwhelm all I don't have. I am  inadequate , but You are  incorruptible . I don't have what it takes to be great and successful on my own accords. However, I do have You, Lord, and You make  all things possible . You take all my insufficiencies and transform them into  more than enough . You are my Lord, my true first delight. His Plan is Bigger Than Our Wildest Dreams: "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us" (Ephesians 3:20) "For with God nothing will be impossible." (Luke 1:37) I lay my head down, close my eyes, and listen for the sound of His mercy song. I take my fears, and I cast them off into the hands of His great lovingkindness. He cares. Mercies Anew Every Morning: "Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness." (Lamentations 3:22-23) "The Lord is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy." (Psalms 103:8) I am so undeserving, yet this, this rushing river of redemption is where I stand. I stand here now in the midst of all this mercy. In Your all-encompassing grace, O Lord, I shall dwell and delight all my days. Your mercies are new for me each day. Every single morning I can rise up and take courage, for this is the foundational truth upon which I stand. This confidence takes me into Your presence humbly, yet boldly. It is never too late for me to receive Your glorious gifts, because the door to Your tender heart of compassion never closes. I am always welcomed into Your wondrous Presence with open arms. Receiving God's Great Gifts: "Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations." (Psalms 100:3-5) We are His people. We are the Lord God Almighty's chosen children. What a wondrous truth in which we boldly live! He has redeemed us to Himself and brought us into His own family. Our home is found in His courts and in His arms. We're covered by His love and never failing forgiveness. I've Tasted and Seen the Light of Your Delivering Love: "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles." (Psalms 34:17) You hear my cry of distress, my cry out of this crushing confusion. You hear me, O God, You listen and You light the way that leads to freedom. You will deliver me from this disquietude. You have delivered me. You have delivered me from the snares of darkness. The menacing snarl of misery, this burden, has been broken off. You lift me from desolation and place me on Your path of peace and never-dimming light - true light which the darkness around can never overshadow. "In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it." (John 1:4-5) Cast away these shadows that hold me hostage.
