My Soul Satisfaction

My Soul Satisfaction:

"Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord [roll and repose each care of your load on Him]; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass." (Psalm 37:4-5 AMP)

The Lord is my Treasure. Nothing compares to the sweetness of His Presence and His peace. He is all I need. He is my portion. Today's needs are met with unmerited favour, tomorrow's tasks are already covered by His marvellous mercy, and my past is redeemed by His glorious grace.

As I reflect on all He's done this month, I am reminded of His unending faithfulness. Though I walk through the most rattling storms, I am seeking His face through the rough and trusting His grace is enough. He is my vital need, my constant creed. He will always rescue, He will never leave... This I will believe.

"He will fulfill the desires of those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him; He also will hear their cry and will save them." (Psalm 145:19 AMP)

You're my everything, God, and on this Selah Saturday of reflection, I want to thank You. Thank You for all You have done for me. This month has brought life's trials - treacherous and trying tribulations, but faithful and sovereign You remain. I thank You that through it all...

Through it all... My eyes are on You. Through it all... Through it all... It is well with my soul, because You are all that makes me whole. Selah...

My Mighty Defender

My Mighty Defender:

"But if anyone should sin, we have an Advocate (One Who will intercede for us) with the Father–[it is] Jesus Christ [the all] righteous [upright, just, Who conforms to the Father's will in every purpose, thought, and action]." (1 John 2:1 AMP)

O Heavenly Father, how at fault I feel. The mistakes I've made, the shameful deeds I've done... Condemnation and fear, they wear away at my heart. Bitter emotions, they tear me apart. Oh take me back, back to the start. The start of Your mercy, flowing from Your Heart.

"Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning." (Lamentations 3:23)

You never give up on me; Your faithfulness endures even when my whole life feels falling apart.

When I'm drowning, You're still defending. When I'm losing, You're still leading. When I'm falling, You're the One fighting for me. When I'm sinking, You will save me. You will come to my rescue. You promise hope. You whisper to me, "This isn't the end... This is just the beginning."

In You, I have constant assurance, steadfast, immovable joy and truth. You are my Way, You are my Truth, You are my Light, and You are my life. You defend me before the throne of God the Father, for by Your precious blood I'm cleansed and redeemed.

Now I'm family. I'm running into Your arms, yet You're dwelling in my heart. I am in You, and You are in me. What a glorious mystery!

"But Christ, as the Son, is in charge of God’s entire house. And we are God’s house, if we keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ." (Hebrews 3:6)

"He gave us a good bath, and we came out of it new people, washed inside and out by the Holy Spirit. Our Saviour Jesus poured out new life so generously. God’s gift has restored our relationship with him and given us back our lives. And there’s more life to come—an eternity of life! You can count on this." (Titus 3:7 MSG)

This atonement You gave for me is the unsearchable wonder of the glorious power of Christ in me. This is the hope of the future coming glory. You are my future and my freedom. You are my destination and my delight. I will cling to You, my great and mighty Defender.

Rest in Him

Rest in Him:

"In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for You, Lord, alone make me dwell in safety and confident trust." (Psalm 4:8)

When you're still and surrendered, the quietness of My Presence can settle over you, settling every one of your distressing fears. My love will quiet all the accusatory voices that haunt you, and My joy shall shine pure light on all the lies keeping your mind in a dark prison. My holy fire is coming down in glorious light to set you free and burn away fright.

"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it." (John 1:5)

When you're feeling too weary to carry on, come to Me and bring those heavy burdens too. I will carry you as well as care for every one of those concerns. No matter how great your fears appear to be, there is not one single thing too difficult for Me.

"Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You." (Jeremiah 32:17)

In all the storms and the tribulations, remember that I am faithful through all generations - I reign high above the nations. When nothing makes any sense to youlean into MeI'll lead you through. Rest in Me with all your might, this battle isn't yours to fight. Trust that I will do what's right.

I can provide you with peace, even here on this earth. I can pull purpose out of all your pain. Trust in My perfect plan.

"Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!" (Luke 2:14)
"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28)

Be still and know that I'm working all things for your deliverance and divine destiny. I will not leave your side, not even for a moment. Nothing can weaken My unconditional love for you, therefore do not believe any of the shame the enemy tries to put on you. After all, I died to remove every ounce of condemnation from you. Every burden I've already borne to give you the privilege of enjoying this pure, unadulterated freedom.

Even when all the world around you races to achieve, I want you to rest in My promises. Even when everyone else buzzes with preoccupation, I want you to be blessed in the calm of my Presence. I've set you apart. Don't doubt My decision to call you My very own. Your purpose is fulfilled in My Presence. I delight over you, and this will always be enough. You needn't worry about trying to earn My love, for it is a gift freely given both now and forever. I adore you, My dear child, and I always will.

Praise is the Portal to Peace

Praise is the Portal to Peace:

"Reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, that one may avoid the snares of death. [John 4:10, 14.]" (Proverbs 14:27 AMP)

Praise is the portal to the peaceful Presence of our perfect Saviour. Worship presents us with an escape from the dread of the destruction so sprawled about this world. Thankful songs take us from the ashes of fear and worry up into the holy realm of God's hope. Our praising His goodness awakens our hearts to the reality of His unfailing love and joy.

"My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing to You, And my soul, which You have redeemed." (Psalms 71:23)

Our praise unlocks His peaceLet's praise our way through the day. He is always faithful, so we should always sing, "How holy and great You are, our good and gracious God!"

Push Away Panic and Pursue Peace

Push Away Panic and Pursue Peace:

"Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God." (Philippians 4:6 AMP)

Panic. Panic is a perpetrating peace plunderer. A panicked life is not My plan for you. I promise you a life of perfect peace, not a life of perpetually paralyzing perplexity. Look to Me, and focus on all the goodness I have prepared for you.

Don't panic. Just pray.

When you take a deep breath and call upon My Name, My resurrection power is faithful to overthrow the oppressing fear you're feeling. Don't allow panicky planning to perfuse your poor mind with toxic terror. Pray to Me, and I will carry you through the battle field.

"Cast your burden on the LORD, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved." (Psalms 55:22)

"The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest." (Exodus 14:14)

Now that you've prayed in My powerful Name, praise and remain at rest. Count blessings and experience the gladness of gratitude overtake all gloominess.

Present your requests to Me with praise, and be delivered from despair. The very simple act of thanking Me causes joy to multiply inside your own heart. Focus on praising, not on panicking.

Don't panic, My dearly beloved child. Instead, pray with praise-filled petitions. Push away all panic, and rather pursue peace. Allow My Presence to penetrate the poison of panic and prepare a place of peaceful rest for you in its stead.

"Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it." (Psalms 34:14)

However, in the midst of the trying tribulation of stress and temptation, it can feel nearly impossible to turn away from all those distressing voices that haunt you... But I always make a way out for you. In Me, you're never far from perfect peace and gracious goodness.

"Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all." (2 Thessalonians 3:16)

I will go before you, and I will lead you step by step on the path ahead. Don't focus on the road that's farther away, simply fix your eyes on your Father, faithful to save. Everything is in My hands, and My hands are gentle with love and compassion for you.

Trust Me. I've got this. I understand your every fear, even better than you do. I know your heart, even the deepest facets you never knew about. I know your ultimate desires, and even your small wants too.

Trust that I know the best way to bring you Home. You're on your way, and I'll make sure you're safe every step. Not a moment or detail of your life is neglected by Me. I watch over you carefully. Therefore, you can trust Me with everything.

I long for the day to see your panic permanently pass away, and to see you dancing in freedom on the path of eternity. Come rest in Me, and relinquish fear into the Hands that are always near. I am still with you now, and I am still on your team. I'm not leaving; I never will. I won't forsake you, for I am your Good Shepherd.

Be Not Dismayed, I Am Your God

Be Not Dismayed, I Am Your God:

"Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand...For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you." (Isaiah 41:10, 13)

Really sensing that God is speaking this verse over me lately. It's been recurring a whole lot... He's reminding me, "Fear not. Let your fears dissipate in the divine glow of My glory. I am with you. I will help you. Fear is just a lie. Trust in the truth of My promise. I Am your God - now and always, sovereign over all."

What an anchor for my soul. What hope to make this heart whole. I'm running to You, my King. To Your Presence I will cling.

He is Lord, Lord over all. He reigns over the chaos. He is goodeven when I cannot see. He is faithful, even in my wandering. He is sovereign. When things feel like they're swirling out of my control, I can take heart and trust that everything is in His hands! Amen!

Let Go of Fear

Let Go of Fear:

"For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father)! Father!" (Romans 8:15 AMP)

Fear. My child, fear only wants to keep you bound up in chains. Fear is a gruelling prison guard, his only desire to make you more and more miserable. Don't wear the chains that hold you prisoner as a comfort-cloak. These are the very chains that I have already broken off for your freedom.

"Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." (John 8:36)

I long to see you liberated. At the very centre of My will for you, there is a promise of impenetrable peace. The first steps of a faith-filled journey feel infiltrated with fears, but faith and freedom finally begin when fears are put to death. Joy is hidden in perfect portions along the path I have paved for you.

Don't allow fear's insatiable desire to take from you to be fulfilled. Fear is a jealous beast. All fear truly wants is to steal all the many good gifts with which I've blessed you. At first, fear may feel like it's keeping you in a safe-zone, but sooner or later, those same "safetyblankets will suffocate you.

"Safety" blankets of stress solely seek to steal and suppress. Fear's goal is to suffocate you from breathing in the fresh air of My Presence, steal all the abounding joy and good and perfect gifts I freely give for your enjoyment, and suppress your influence on My Kingdom.

Fear is not for you. I am for you. I am your Good Shepherd. Fear is the thief and the bandit come to burden and bruise you.

"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them." (John 10:10-12)

I will never allow fear to come in and scatter you. I am watching over you day and night. I never loose My grip on you. Why? Because I love you dearly. I've placed invaluable treasures inside of you, and I have immeasurably glorious plans for your life.

Trust in My promises, trust in My mightiness, and most of all, trust in My mercies. They will never fail you. Therefore, you are free to release every one of your fears into My good and caring hands. I will never forsake you. I am right here beside you.

Fear not, My precious fragile child, I will be your Helper unto eternity. I will guide you everlastingly. I hold your future, I heal your past. Take courage and be confident in My care for you. I love you passionately, so let go of your fear, be brave, I Am always near.

The Perfect One

The Perfect One:

"And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him" (Hebrews 5:9)

Lord, I place everything at Your feet. Even if I'm no great musician or singer, I will always live to worship You in spirit and truth (John 4:24). In Heaven, I know I'll sound beautiful, even angelic! But for right now, I trust that You take utmost delight in my songs to You, even more than an orchestral symphony. You take delight in my imperfect song. How great You are, my God.

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love." (1 John 4:18)

So often I'm afraid... I fear the terror of others knowing my raw imperfections... So easily I forget that Your perfect love has renewed me. Your perfect love casts out my every fear, even my fear of being rejected. Rejected because of my weakness? Why, this is precisely why You've called me chosen. Your strength is the perfect match for my neediness. Through all my nothingness, Your glory is magnified. In all my imperfection, Your great splendour is perfected and magnified. I am accepted in the Beloved (Ephesians 1:6). I am all Yours, Lord, I surrender to Your perfect love.

Yours. All that I am is Yours. Your perfect love fulfilled on that Cross poured out and cleansed all my retched imperfections, impurities, and immoralities. It's only by the messy, imperfect scene of the Cross - Your death for my purification - that I'm made whole in heart. ImmanuelPerfect OneImperfect humanity is conformed to Your holiness by the power of Your perfect propitiation.

Imperfections are transformed by His majesty... Immanuel is perfect... Immortally perfect. This new covenant means that I'm made perfect because of His perfect love.

"Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect." (Matthew 5:48)

Thank You Jesus, You've set us free from the chains of our own fallible flesh. Oh how earnestly I seek to be with You! You're all my heart desires. You've set me free, You're my everything, You are better, stronger, and You are everlasting! It's in Your mighty, perfect, Name above every name I pray, Amen!

Guide My Eyes to Thine Face

Guide My Eyes to Thine Face:

"The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you." (Psalms 32:8)

You know the path before me, and You are familiar with my feeble weaknesses within. Yet You love me... You love me unconditionally. You're patient with me, for You never lose Your temper when I struggle so unbelievably.

"Then the Lord passed in front of him and proclaimed: Yahweh — Yahweh is a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and rich in faithful love and truth" (Exodus 34:6)

"If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself." (2 Timothy 2:13)

You are faithful, even when I am faithless. You are strong, even when I am falling apart. You are wise, even when confusion blinds my eyes. Be my vision, O King of my heart. Be my leader, O Lord of my life. Be my Joy, O Song of my salvation. I am Yours forever. Won't You guide me safely into eternity?

I will leap with courage into this new week, because it's Your glorious Face that I shall seek. You won't let me down. You'll never let me go. You are faithful, sovereign, this I know. Amen.

You Shine Brighter

You Shine Brighter:

"Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever." (Daniel 12:3)

I lay my head back and close my eyes, eyes filled with wonder and awe for the One Who shines brighter. Brighter than all that this world holds out in front of my tempted soul... The bate of beauty or "better" is just a burden in disguise...

"How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone." (James 4:14 NLT)

"Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised." (Proverbs 31:30)

You, Jesus,You shine brighter than it all. Your beauty illuminates with more splendour than anything else in the whole entire universe. You're so much better, so much brighter, and only You will remain. You will never distract or derail me. You will never deceive me. You will deliver me. You alone last for eternity.

So why do I so quickly cave into distractions that destroy me? Why do I give them power over me? Draw me close, O God. Draw me close in to Your everlasting Truth. Remind me of Who You are...

You are the Great I Am, the One Who was, Who is, and Who is to come... You're the unfailing, unfading Father of all true beauty and holiness. Surely I shall turn my eyes from the dusty demise dragging me down, and fix my gaze on the Ancient of Days.

"I watched as thrones were put in place and the Ancient One sat down to judge. His clothing was as white as snow, his hair like purest wool. He sat on a fiery throne with wheels of blazing fire" (Daniel 7:9)

Your pure righteousness reels me in and permanently puts to rest my every doubt. Your merciful majesty leaves us speechless and captivated by Your sweet goodness. Sweeter than anything we've ever tasted. Your Presence is sweeter than the world's most alluring temptations.

Your divine grace gleams greater than every other enticing aspect of this fallen world that's fading fast. I cling to You, for only You shine brighter than the stars strewn across the night sky.

Shine in my dark desperation. Shine and bring Your hope to life inside me. I look to Your light. You're the joy of my life. Only You can sustain me, and only You can give me the courage to keep on living. I look to You. I seek Your brightly shining Presence.

Only Your Love Will Do

Only Your Love Will Do:

O Lord my God, I'm reminded again today of Your wondrous love for me. How pure and unconditional and truly unchanging. Your love is the only powerful force strong enough to conquer my raging fears, yet gentle enough to calm my trembling spirit. Only Your love will do for me, Father.

"Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends." (John 15:13)

Your love gave all for me. Not a single ounce of it held back. You loved me until Your life ran out... But did You stop there? Certainly not! Your mighty love conquered death! Your love prevailed through grave depths, and rose again with triumphant victory and promising hope! Your love never fails me.

"Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance." (1 Corinthians 13:7 NLT)
"Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]." (1 Corinthians 13:8 AMP)

I know that in this life, I will face struggles and disappointments, but I am certain that Your perfect love will never forsake me. Your love is incapable of letting me down or letting me go. Your love perseveres with me even in the persistent storms this world whirls my way. You never leave my side.

You're walking with me now, hand in hand, lovingly encouraging me, "Dearly beloved child, I've planned each day with your needy desperation in Mind. Don't think for a moment that your dependency upon Me is a weakness. In fact, this is what makes you stronger. Your spirit receives riches when it's enriched by My glory and grace. Your heart becomes bolder when it beholds my broad and beautiful love and mercy. Take hold of this promise from Me today. I Am your eternal Lover. Nothing you do could ever cause My love to depart from you. The Blood of the Lamb, my Holy Atonement-Saviour Jesus, has paid your way to My welcoming Heart in full. No debt owed. No down payment plan. It's a gift. Receive My love-gift on this very special day."
On this Selah Saturday, let's all reflect on God's miraculous love-gift. Let's reflect on His perfect, unconditional love toward us. Hallelujah, He is so good to us.

Be Mine/I am Yours

Be Mine/I am Yours:

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me." (Revelation 3:20)

Every morning I rise, there You are. Your radiance shines over me as the rising sun. Your goodness surrounds me like a cloud. Your Presence knocks at the door to my heart, and into my very centre I welcome Your Spirit. Come and fill me. Come and exchange my worrying in distraught anxiety for heartfelt wondering in Your divine authority.

You are sovereign over my every circumstance and You are constant even in my confusion.

"Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you...Your sun shall no longer go down, Nor shall your moon withdraw itself; For the LORD will be your everlasting light, And the days of your mourning shall be ended." (Isaiah 60:1-2, 20)

As I walk upon the day's path You've paved for me, I hear Your whispers of peace, pulling me in... Closer to Your side... Closer to Your Heart. O, Father, bring me back to the start... Where Your Light dawned upon my soul. Oh how I long to know You more!

"And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him." (Hebrews 11:6)

So boldly I shall approach, approach the glorious glowing Presence of my Love. Expectant to receive, receive my Portion... The One Whom I adore. I know this is who You've made me to be. You've made me to be Your own. You've crafted me to come continually, continually into the embrace of Your warm and welcoming grace.

"But he’s already made it plain how to live, what to do, what GOD is looking for in men and women. It’s quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbour, be compassionate and loyal in your love, And don’t take yourself too seriously— take God seriously." (Micah 6:8 MSG)

You see my sincere heart. You can see that I am serious about seeking, seeking my Saviour all the day long. I am serious, seriously in love with the Lord my God.

The above is The Message version, but the Amplified Bible version puts it this way:

"He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God?" (Micah 6:8 AMP)

How I love to walk with Thee, oh how I love to hold Your hand and simply stand in the sea of Your sovereign serenity. You serenade me... You cover me with compassion, You clothe me in righteousness, and You sing over me... From the rising sun to my final breath, You sing songs of love over me and Your laughter rejoices with me. You're my all, and all I am is Yours, Lord.

There's no better way to live than to live surrendered to Your song, my life cradled carefully in Your hands. You lovingly long for me, even more than I long for You! You've promised me, "My child, you are My very own, dearly beloved. My Love for you will never fade away, for it grows stronger and stronger each and every day." Oh selah...

I Love Jesus

I Love Jesus:

There's no place I'd rather be, than right here in Your arms, Jesus. There's no paradise more perfect than Your Presence. No water refreshes the way Your streams of mercy do. Not a single light shines as brightly as Your radiant beauty.

You complete my soul, You satisfy my hungry spirit. Each morning the sun rises and the first gleam of dawn glints on the dewy blades of grass... O how marvellously Your majesty marks this earth. I love You Jesus, for Your beauty is unsurpassable, Your glory is uncontainable, and Your power is immeasurable.

"The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven." (Hebrews 1:3)

I know I can place everything in Your hands. You are strong, mighty, and radically compassionate. You intercede on my behalf; You defend me! How comforting to declare! The Prince of Peace and Lord of lords defends me! I love You Jesus, for Your mercies are new for me every morning.

"Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!” The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the LORD." (Lamentations 3:22-26)

Jesus, You're my portion and my delight. There's nothing this world has to offer me that could even begin to measure up to Your worth. Therefore, I have a secure and unshakable anchor for my soul, and I know that my hope is found in You and You alone. I will wait for You, my King. I will seek You, my Good Shepherd. I will praise You, my Gracious Lord. You're everything, and I adore You Jesus. Oh how I love my sweet Jesus.

Spirit of Freedom

Spirit of Freedom:

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7)

The heart of the ways in which God calls us are founded by a Spirit full of fearless faith and freedom. The enemy on the other hand only desires to see us fall further into the lifeless freeze that is a life that's fear-seized. God wants to see our souls overflow with joy that is unafraid and confident in the truth that His goodness is exceedingly abundantly above all we can imagine. The enemy wants to take away every last fragment of the great gifts God has freely given to us, His beloved children.

"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us" (Ephesians 3:20)

"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep." (John 10:10-11)

Abundantly, abundantly... God's heart gives and gives, even to the point of bleeding out His very own life on the Cross. The Heart of God is gracious, kind, and full of delight. The heart of fear is anger, jealousy, envy, and strife. The enemy just wants to steal, murder, and utterly demolish all the good things God so generously lavishes upon us.

There comes a time when we all must recognize the choice that needs to be made in order to attain a more intimate relationship with our Lord. We must deny our flesh's fighting for things to line up and make sense. God doesn't follow human logic; He isn't limited by human understanding. His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. A young virgin girl bearing the Saviour Son of God in her womb? Logical? No. Miracle? Yes. But that's precisely how God moves... God moves in unthinkably great and unfathomable ways...

"Fear not, O land; Be glad and rejoice, For the LORD has done marvellous things!" (Joel 2:21)

You see, God takes great joy in astonishing His people. He's been doing this since the beginning of time itself. Baffling our human senses with His spectacularly supernatural miracles. All throughout the course of history, we can see His hand on the lives of many. The Red Sea splits straight down the middle, the ground beneath Israelite feet dry as bones.

Stomping feet march faithfully around and around those towering walls of Jericho... Until, at last, the horns, they blast, and crumbling down they go...

Our timidity to trust leads Him to gently ask us the same words He asked Peter as he stepped out on the waters.

"And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”" (Matthew 14:31)

Why do we doubt? God is the One who makes apostle feet to tread boisterous waves, aged old Abraham to behold a son, shepherd boy David to rule the nation of Israel, and a baby Boy born in a filthy stable to be the King Who cleanses us, saves us from our sin and shame, and triumphs over death and grave. Oh how His glorious power reigns!

"But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb. Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus." (Luke 24:2-3)

His strength surrounds us, stronger than fear's futile attempts to steal God's glory. Think about that.

Every time we make a decision out of fear, we give into the enemy's attempt at trying to hide the unbelievably splendorous miracle God has for us just on the other side of that leap of faith.

God's glory can't be revealed to us until we surrender to the call of obeying the unbelievable - the seemingly illogical - and watching the things that are impossible with men become possible with God...

"But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”" (Luke 18:27)

So next time you feel fear's cold grip wringing you into knots of confusion, call upon the Lord and proclaim that through His great and miraculous faithfulness, you will not be overtaken by the temptation to collapse under anxiety.

Refuse to allow the enemy spirit of fear to take away the glorious majesty God is trying to reveal to you through an incredible act of faith that feels foreign and frightening. Trust Him, and dive in! God will never let you down or forsake you! He is good and faithful for all eternity! Hallelujah! Amen!
