The Lord is My Banner : " And Moses built an altar and called its name, The- LORD -Is-My-Banner " (Exodus 17:15) Whatever the bank statements, news reports, or test results say, I will be constantly confessing, " The Lord is my banner, I shall not fear. The Mighty God of Jacob is my banner, I will not be defeated. My Sovereign Saviour, He is the One who goes before me and stands behind me - my gracious guide and my strong rear guard. My Peaceful Provider : " The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. " (Psalms 23:1-2) Lately, the Holy Spirit has really been speaking deep into my heart about this particular passage of Scripture. Psalms 23, a classic isn't it? But we mustn't allow the genuineness of this miraculous truth to slip past us on the slopes of familiarity. A truth and promise this divine is not meant to  merely braise our fears  with faith,  but strike them  right in the very core of their sources,  penetrating and paralyzing them once and for all ! It must become a  daily   proclamation  in order for it to become a  spiritual   manifestation . This glorious reality has to be an  ongoing declaration  before it can become our  solid foundation  - our refuge in times of attack and struggle. You Are My Shield: "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him." (Psalm 28:7)  In my time of weakness and uncertainty, to whom can I turn? I'm in need of a reliable refuge. So, Lord, I am turning my heart over to You. Please be my strength and the shield that shelters me.  Father, turn my trembling into trusting, my fearfulness into faithfulness, and my doubt into determination.
