Losing a Best Friend : " Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you His peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all. " (2 Thessalonians 3:16) Two years ago this day, I had to say goodbye to one of my best friends. May 31, 2013 Heaven gained the most loyal, loving, and gentle canine. I grew up with Guinness, and didn't know what life would be like without my soft, cuddly best friend. Prayer and puppy loving could fix even the toughest of days. Guinness was an angel of a dog, sent straight from God's heart. Everyone who ever met him will agree, he is unforgettable. Guinness will be in our hearts forever. I'm eternally grateful to have lived so many years of my life with him. I am also grateful we opened our hearts again to expand our family and welcome a new member, Klaus. Push Away Panic and Pursue Peace : " Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by  prayer  and  petition  (definite requests), with  thanksgiving , continue to make your wants known to God ." (Philippians 4:6 AMP) Panic . Panic is a perpetrating peace plunderer.  A panicked life is not My plan for you . I promise you a life of perfect peace, not a life of perpetually paralyzing perplexity. Look to Me, and  focus on all the goodness I have prepared for you . Don't panic. Just pray . When you take a deep breath and call upon My Name, My resurrection power is faithful to  overthrow the oppressing fear  you're feeling. Don't allow panicky planning to perfuse your poor mind with toxic terror. Pray to Me, and I will carry you through the battle field. The Beauty of Seeking His Face: " My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up ." (Psalms 5:3) This morning, as I stumbled out of bed preparing to tackle another Monday morning's to-do list, I lifted up my eyes - just as King David wrote in the Psalm above. As I looked up, I was  lavished  in the love of the Father.  Warm ,  golden  morning light came flooding in through the windows. Beautiful light,  heavenly light  shone in my groggy eyes and  enlightened  my soul. I am thankful for early  morning fellowship  with the Father in the light of His glorious Presence. Selah.
