The Lord is My Banner : " And Moses built an altar and called its name, The- LORD -Is-My-Banner " (Exodus 17:15) Whatever the bank statements, news reports, or test results say, I will be constantly confessing, " The Lord is my banner, I shall not fear. The Mighty God of Jacob is my banner, I will not be defeated. My Sovereign Saviour, He is the One who goes before me and stands behind me - my gracious guide and my strong rear guard. Do Not Fear for I AM With You: "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, through the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though it's waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. Selah" (Psalms 46:1-3) Fear is our enemy. Fear restricts, constrains, and kills. Fear kills the hope of joy, and extinguishes the flame of faith. Fear is not welcome. After all, God hasn't given us a spirit of fear. He gives us His Holy Spirit full of love to cast out every fear. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7) "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love." (1 John 4:18) Our Father desires for us to live lives of freedom, joy, and abundance. You Are My Shield: "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him." (Psalm 28:7)  In my time of weakness and uncertainty, to whom can I turn? I'm in need of a reliable refuge. So, Lord, I am turning my heart over to You. Please be my strength and the shield that shelters me.  Father, turn my trembling into trusting, my fearfulness into faithfulness, and my doubt into determination. I'm in a desperate place, for only You can rescue me now. I'm crying out for You.
