We Are Not of This World

What has this world come to? Where have our morals gone? What ever happened to integrity? What about, "In God We Trust"? Today our society has become more and more distant from the Lord. We're in need of a change, and I do not mean the "change" we received on January 20, 2009. We need a change of heart, spirit, and mind. We need to be putting God first.
We live in a very fallen world, and it is our duty to bring light into the darkness. We are on a mission for God. We have an important purpose. We have massive things to do here.
"Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God." (2 Corinthians 5:20)
Have we forgotten who made us? Have we disregarded our Creator's glorious ways? Do we find what He has made worthless? Why do we disrespect His creations? The unruly violence and inhumane ways need to come to an end.
"And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being." (Genesis 2:7)
You see, God created life. Life is far from worthless. Life is precious. Life should be cherished and honored. Life is a gift, not a "choice". We do not have the right to end a life. It is up to God to decide when a life begins, and when it shall end. It is also His choice as to how it came into the world. We, as humans, have over-stepped our boundaries. We're trying to completely shut God out of our lives, and it's not alright.
"Then Jesus spoke to them, again, saying, 'I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." (John 8:12)
So, let's be an example of His mercy. Let us go into this word that is so filled with hate and darkness, and let's bring the light of life in Jesus Christ. We are strangers in this place, we have a longing for our Home. In the meantime we will tell of His wonders.

"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." (Romans 12:2)
