Receive Peace at the Throne
I love when I can just sit back and throw my worries aside. That is, when I can do just that. I'm often consumed with fear and anxiety. Anyone else? Of course! It's hard to find one who isn't concerned with anything at all. But, just like the other plethora of things that plague us while we're on this earth, worry is just another clever little tactic of the enemy.
We worry. We worry that we will never be good enough. Might I ask, good enough for what? To save ourselves? Someone already did that, so you don't ever need to worry about trying to save yourself from any sort of situation.
Worry about financial matters? God will provide. After all, He provides for the little birds. He doesn't leave them to worry about such things, because our God provides!
"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" (Matthew 6:26)
Are you worried that things will never get better? His Word says that we have eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
Because Jesus gave it all, we are freed from the burden of the law of sin and death. We have been reconciled to Him because of the shedding of His blood, His humility and obedience, and the fulfillment of the law. The moment we turn our hearts toward Him and truly accept Him as the Son of God and our ultimate Redeemer, our eternal destination is secured. And nothing, nothing could ever alter this truth!
"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." (Hebrews 11:6)
The basis of our faith is our reverence towards God, so when we are distracted from pursuing Him, we are without peace. But when we are committed to keeping our eyes on Him, He rewards us with His perfect loving peace!
So next time a little fret pops into your head, just remember that it's the devil revolting your piety towards the Lord. He does not want you to be obedient and follow God's leading in any way whatsoever. Don't let the fret fester in your noggin. Take it to the Throne, and watch the reward of your faithfulness - that is peace that surpasses understanding - wipe away any worry.
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28)
God works for our good! Just keep this in mind, and when you are afraid, you know that you can fully trust Him to deal with those pesky frets!

His grace has been upon us since before we even knew, so what is there for us to worry about? If we know that His grace is sufficient, we know that every little worry is just a distraction method of our adversary. The devil is trying desperately to keep you from going after God.
