Through Endless Years

Through Endless Years:

"Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever You had formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God." (Psalms 90:2)

Ah what a glorious God! He reigns! Now and forever He is God over all. All things are subject to the power of our omnipotent Heavenly Father. He is before all things, and by His might He has created all things. Because of the redeeming love He has for each and every one of us, He sent the Lamb of God to restore our fallen souls.

"...the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many." (Matthew 20:28)

A ransom is the price required to release a prisoner from prison. Jesus came to swing open the prison doors and loose the strangling chains from those who are bound. Not only did He come to give us an abundant life in His constant companionship, but He also established for those who believe an everlasting home with Him in His eternal Heavenly Kingdom.

We're free to live in the peace of His Presence today. So why wait? The future of those who receive Christ never ends. There is no shame, no pain, no sorrow, no sin, and no corruption where He is leading us. This is the path on which we as believers walk - the pathway that leads to Heaven. The One who guides us is the One who graces us with blessings upon blessings, day after day.

"For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens...For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life." (2 Corinthians 5:1,4)

As we inwardly grow in our faith, the Holy Spirit clothes us with the glorious garments of His Spirit gifts. Though we may grow older in the flesh, we're daily obtaining more life inside our spirits. The Lord Himself continually expands our spirit-capacity, so that He might breathe His life-giving breath into us more and more.

"The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the Almighty gives me life." (Job 33:4)

Our hair may dull and our skin become cracked, but a renewed spirit in Christ glows brighter than a summer sunset. We petition, "Oh Holy One, gleam in our hearts today!" There is simply no other source to find everlasting joy, never failing love, and ever increasing fellowship and spiritual growth but in the Lord Himself.

"The eternal God is your refuge, And underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, And will say, ‘Destroy!’" (Deuteronomy 33:27)

The Lord is our everlasting, never diminishing refuge. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, on a mission to save. Here are a few verses that I feel help to illustrate His heroic work:

"He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God." (1 John 3:8-9)

Jesus came to uproot the poisonous sinful habits of our former lives and replace them with God's seed. God's seed grows pure and righteous roots which anchor us into His shelter and bear good, spiritually nourishing fruits for the health of the soul.

"For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death." (1 Corinthians 15:25-26)

The Son of God has been given all authority and dominion (Matthew 28:18). He has come to annihilate all evil forces that suffocate and enslave God's beloved children. He has utterly abolished death through His crucifixion and resurrection. He alone possesses the keys, for He is alive and shall reign for all eternity!

"I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death." (Revelation 1:18)

Jesus won the victory of eternal life. Now He desires to bless us with this gift as well. What must we do to attain this incredible gift of salvation in Him? Shall we strive and earn? Of course not! We cannot deserve this no matter how hard we try.

All that is required is for us to have faith in HIM, and to truly believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths, "Jesus Christ is Lord. Jesus is alive. I am redeemed, because Jesus is my Saviour."

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23)

"for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 1:11)

Can you see how marvellously He's blessed us? What a wonderful Saviour! Let us give Him our thanks today:

Oh Heavenly Father, we praise You. We will sacrifice to You our thanks all the day long and throughout all of eternity. We don't deserve the gracious gifts You give, but we're awestruck by the magnitude of Your generosity. So Lord, we approach You boldly yet humbly, knowing that our sins have been completely blotted out by the precious blood of the Lamb.

We need not feel ashamed, for You wore the filth of our unrighteousness. Condemnation has no place on us, because You bore the weight of our sinfulness and endured the rejection of humanity. We're not given a spirit of fear, instead, Your perfect love casts out all fear. Dark and depressed hearts find healing in the overflowing outpour of Your abundant joy and light.

We lift our faces up to You, and we sing, "Holy is the Lord God Almighty. He is the One who reigns forever and throughout all the years of eternity. You're the One who knows no beginning or end, for You were always there, and forever You shall remain. Oh how holy and sovereign You are, Father. What a privilege it is to call You Abba, Father!"

"For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”" (Romans 8:15)

Praise Him all you people! Praise Him, for He is good and His mercies last forever. What a wondrous Lord, what a glorious God! He reigns forevermore! We need not ever fear losing Him, because He has sealed us with His Spirit. What a beautiful and certain hope we have in our Lord! Amen! Hallelu Yah! We praise You God!
